It also has a digital control and thermostat to turn on and off in the desired temperature range. Another nice feature I haven't used yet is a delay up to 24 hours, so you could have the A/C turn on let's say about an hour before coming home and have the room nice and cool without having to have run the A/C all day. I highly recommend this air conditioner for a 12 x 12 x 8ft high room. I sleep so comfortably now. The price of $146 was excellent. I had a GE 5000 btu before this that cost $99 and it lasted 7 years if you want an idea of how good these air conditioners are.
