Was 93 in the coach, 97 outside the coach. Fortunately this is still under warranty (2 years). However one of the mobile service tech companies for the air conditioner manufacturer does not want to do it under the warranty because they never get paid. So this is going to get interesting.
Tech say about $200. I found another RV repair service to do it all under warranty.Heartland RV My LemonImportant notes for documenting your warranty issues to the Manufacturer, the RV dealer and possible future court cases. Proper warranty documentation and email tracking is the utmost importance for the new owner. ac power supply in usaIf there is no tracking and proof of documentation for dates and times of warranty issues ...down the time line, it will be hard to prove the problem existed. how much do ac units weighIt is important to document and verify when the user had a problem and that a claim was made against said p...roblem. prices on home ac unitsOk, so lets start ... Recommend (example) of email subject line when you report a warranty issue: Kitchen sink leaks - serial number of RV - date of purchase.
1. Keep an photo journal. Low res for email. 2. Report each problem via email and send photos with the email as soon as the problem occurs. Once it has been documented it is on record should the repairs exceed the warranty period. 3. Send a (separate) email for each and every individual problem, email it to your respective service rep of your RV manufacturer "AND" your dealership contact. DO NOT combine multiple issues and multiple problems within an email. One email = one problem. 4. Create a folder in your email program (name it something like HL RV repairs etc) and copy the emails you send to everyone into to this folder ...each and every one of them. Documenting and Tracking is very important. 5. Keep the service reps email replies/responses in this folder as well as your replies back to the service rep. You WILL need them one day. 5. Title each individual email with the name of the problem (See example top of post). DO NOT - DO NOT - DO NOT, combine multiple problems within an email.
You will not be able to track, find and relocate your documentation easily should you do this. 6. When you reply to said problem from service rep, DO NOT ADD another problem. Use a separate email for each and every issue. 7. You will need to search for these emails one day. It will be easier for you to have sorted the emails by problem in the subject line. Your service rep may have lost the email or it is buried under the magnitude or other emails he/she receives from other customers. NOTE: You will be expected to prove you reported the problem. Having their response is proof they received your email. 8. Document everything for evidence. You may have to go to court one day and prove your case. Your attorney and you will appreciate the simplicity of your organization. 9. You may want to print your emails at sometime. I use an internet based email program and count on them to keep everything backed up. Does not hurt to create your own FP web page as well. If you do create a FP page, post the facts of your experience...not your opinions or thoughts of them.
