Had this for quite sometime now. Still working like new. I use it in my living room and I am very pleased with it's performance. It keeps it nice and cool. The best portable A/C unit! Not just for the money but best; I upgraded my old, inefficient window AC unit on the first floor with this DeLonghi. I was able to set it up myself. It kept me very comfortable on even the worst summer days, and even took the edge off the second floor. The best news is that I could keep the thermostat at a reasonable setting and my electric bill was lower than last year's! The compromise is having to adjust to the unit's foot print in the room. My architecture gives me no place to "hide" it - it needs to be within reach of both a window AND an appropriate outlet. Now that winter approaches I will have to either ask for a strong neighbor to help me put it away in the basement or just let it become part of the scenery. We wanted this unit to keep our bedroom cool while allowing the remainder of the house to be warm for my 88 year old father.

It did just what it purported to do and our power bill was less than normal. Love this air conditioner, dehumidifier. I have a giant great room where we spend a lot of time. the thing is that this room was a add on so it has no air so this takes care of the whole room. also helps our central air unit so it doesn't work so hard, also I barely see a any change in electric bill. de'longhi is a great product also it does not have to be emptied. I have a 3 bedroom ranch. I keep this AC in the middle of my home, in a bedroom as it is an extra bedroom. There are 2 doors. One leading to the kitchen and one leading to a hall right outside of my living room. I use a fan to have it fan out into the house in either direction depending on where I am. My Kitchen and Living room are the biggest rooms but the kitchen windows open from side to side so I can't use it in there and my living has 2 large picture windows with smaller windows on the side of them both. I did not want to cut the piece to goes into the window just yet as I want to order another one next year.
