Ventilation parameters such as temperature, humidity, rate of air exchange, air filtration and distribution can all be controlled (even remotely by telemetry).  By recirculating air flows and mixing in some fresh air these conditions can be achieved economically. The interior room spaces can be isolated from external noise, dust and fumes. The potential downside to this technology is that often the bulky and noisy plant and equipment such as fans, condensers and ductwork is installed outside buildings frequently on flat roofs at the rear.  Therefore any residents overlooking this plant, which may operate into the evening or through the night could experience sleep disturbance due to low frequency or mid frequency drones/whines, clatter and possibly structure borne vibration. These installations will usually be installed as part of major redevelopment and will be subject to planning control.  Through this process the developer will most likely be required to make predictions of the noise emissions and stringent planning conditions are likely to be applied to prevent any undue disturbance to residents.
Once installed, air handling equipment needs to be properly serviced to ensure there is no increase in noise or vibration due to its deteriorating condition. Modern air handling plant operates in conjunction with sealed systems for cooling unlike open cooling tower set ups.  Therefore legionella are unlikely to thrive in such systems. Ordinary extract ventilation e.g. from restaurant/cafe´ kitchens and mechanically ventilated toilets/lobbies may give rise to noise or odour complaints. Please contact us if you have any complaints or if you require further advice concerning air handling plant or extract ventilation.Air Zone International offers a line of high quality air handling products based on years of research and development, using only nationally recognized components. Our products continue to be the basis of design on some of the greenest buildings in North America. The rugged yet flexible designs offered by Air Zone International employ state of the art components applied with knowledge and skill.
Our goal is to meet engineers’ rigid specifications by applying the exact components required and to bring forth the completed product according to the understood requirements of the purchaser. Air Zone International provides a state of the art design with independent testing and certification to meet the requirements of every customer. package type air conditioning unitWe expect the Air Zone International product line will continue to expand in preparation for the requirements of an expanding market.the first ac unit was invented by whoOur range of experienced, air handling unit engineers will work in partnership with you to ensure that we design a unit to meet and exceed your exact specification. five ton air conditioner unit
Each AHU arrangement and component selection is individually designed to your specific requirement ensuring the air handling unit produced performs with peak performance and optimised efficiency.Upon submission of your air handling unit requirements, either to our experienced technical sales engineers (who cover the length and breadth of the UK) or direct in to head office, initial design, at tender stage, is carried out by our experienced team of estimators and application engineers. At this point, your project will be discussed in full and proposals will be based upon required flow rates (0.2 m³/s to +50m³/s), volumes, application, unit specification and limiting factors of the project (i.e. site access, unit size, unit configuration – side-by-side / stacked). Once your order is placed, the air handling unit project is passed to our contracts department, where initial designs are adjusted, calibrated and finalised by our highly experienced engineers.AHU unit arrangement CAD drawings are then put into production and can be supported by Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) – this service is optional and chargeable.
Following this process, technical and performance documentation plus drawings are submitted to you for finalised sign-off. Once approved, drawings are issued to production and units are manufactured, 100% in the UK. At every stage of the tender, throughout design and manufacture, we will strive to work with you to ensure we adhere to your specification. Indoor air quality is paramount to every AHU unit that we manufacture. Within our units we strive to provide crevice free internal surfaces to assist in maintenance. The existing units supplied from the US had eroded away due to the brackish water supply and inappropriate materials used for purpose. Bertazzo Engineered after winning the tender to replace the units surprised the engineers by going to site to discuss the design, needs and installation problems prior to construction rather than suppling standard units which would require further works once the units arrived on site. Detailed designs were 3D Modelled and approved by the client prior to construction.
