Direct Energy and One Hour Air Conditioning & Heating joined forces with Neighborhood Centers to announce the donation of 60 portable air conditioner units to Houston-area senior citizens to help battle the heat. The donation was marked with a press conference that included remarks from Meggin Lorino, director of Neighborhood Based Senior Services for Neighborhood Centers, Cullen Hay, general manager of U.S. Energy at Direct Energy, and Bill Fortner, vice president of One Hour Air Conditioning & Heating. After the press conference, One Hour technicians went to the home of Gladys Coleman to install a portable AC unit in her dining room. She’s looking forward to staying cool this summer with the help of the new AC unit. This is the fourth year Direct Energy has partnered with Neighborhood Centers to help meet the need for efficient air conditioning in Houston. The donated units will be delivered and professionally installed in up to 60 homes by One Hour Air Conditioning & Heating’s professional certified technicians.
