A 25-year-old woman has died and three other people were taken to the hospital in serious condition after a cleanliness-obsessed Turkish mother doused the air-conditioning unit with bleach.  The tragedy took place when the family, from Afsin, in the central Turkish province of Kahramanmaras, decided to use bleach extensively to make sure the property was free from gems.  As well as washing the walls, the kitchen and bathroom, they also cleaned the air conditioning system with bleach which resulted in it letting off fumes that filled the interior of the property.As a result Saliha Tasan, 60, her daughter-in-law Zeynep Tasan, 27, her son-in-law Yusuf Gurbuz, 30, and her daughter Tuba Gurbuz, 25, were taken to the hospital for poisoning. The mother and son-in-law were critically ill and in comas for around four months before being discharged. Zeynep Tasan is still in a coma.'My daughter and daughter-in-law had wanted to clean the kitchen, and then when they did that they started cleaning everywhere else,' Saliha, the mother, said. 'My son-in-law was washing the car outside. Later we were all in the kitchen we started feeling ill, and I remember we went to hospital but I don't remember much after that.'Police are investigating that an oil-based detergent which was also used might have contributed to the catastrophe by reacting with the fumes from the bleach.Father Huseyin Tasan who escaped being poisoned said he wanted to tell everybody in the country to be careful when using chemicals at home.He said that when his wife was eventually released from hospital, he no longer recognised her, and he is hoping that better medical facilities can be provided for Zeynap who is still in hospital.

Spring Garden Township Police said they found the worker had been pinned under a piece of air handling equipment. Several employees were able to free her and began CPR, police said. Kevin Kilp, director of OSHA's Harrisburg area office, said preliminary information is that the woman was fatally crushed by a load that tipped off a pallet while being lifted and moved. The victim was a temporary worker employed since April 2016 at Johnson Controls by local staffing agency Master Staffing LLC, 1800 E. Market St., York. OSHA has up to six months to complete its investigation, Kilp said. OSHA issued this statement: "Our thoughts are with the family of the deceased worker. This tragic incident serves as a stark reminder that temporary staffing agencies and host employers are jointly responsible for the safety and health of temporary employees. These employers must assess the work site to ensure that workers are adequately protected from potential hazards. It is essential that employers protect all workers from job hazards-both temporary and permanent workers."
