This means you can quickly turn the heater up as a high as it will go on a cold morning, so you can clear the windows of fog. Conversely, you can turn the air conditioner up high on a hot day after the car has been sitting in the sun, so you do not have to dread the drive home from work. You probably use your blower motor controls instinctively because it is a habit to get into the vehicle and turn the air conditioning or the heating on as high as it needs to be for the day’s weather.

But have you really considered how they work? If you have, you know that they can usually be found in a place that is easy for you to reach, and they are very close together. This is because they are attached to a blower motor control module, which is like an electronic board, and this module is connected by wiring to the blower motor. Your blower motor controls are much more complex than you would imagine when you look at them, which is why there are a number of things that can go wrong. For instance, the module they are connected to is electronic, and we all know that electronics are able to break down, and when this happens, the blower controls will stop working at all. The wiring running the connections can fail with very little notice, or you can even break the physical controls themselves, which gives you very little (or even no) control over your air conditioning and heating. When something does go wrong, the symptoms are very noticeable. Of course, you will immediately know if you break the controls off because you will be faced with that daunting sight of missing switches, which is ugly and annoying.

However, it can be a little more difficult when the control module or the wiring fails, because the symptoms will effectively be that the heating and air conditioning will be outside of your control, and it will be hard to determine which is responsible without pulling certain parts of the dash out.ACDelco GM OE AC BLOWER MOTORS ACDelco Blower Motors are the ideal replacement motor for the original equipment on most GM vehicles.
