Residential Controller Identification Chart SRC / SRC Plus How do I program my controller? Hunter controllers allow you to start a station or an entire program manually. To do so, turn the dial to Manual Single Station or Manual All Stations, verify that the stations that you want to activate have run time, and turn the dial back to the Run position.

When the station or stations finish watering the controller will go back to normal automatic operation. The most common reason for systems to cycle more than once is having programmed too many Start Times. Hunter controllers allow you to setup multiple Start Times to run programs more than once a day. At each Start Time the controller will cycle through all the Station Run Times on that given program. You can eliminate Start Times using the arrow buttons and finding OFF in between 11:45pm and 12:00am or midnight. My controller has a blank display, what do I do? A blank display is a typical symptom that the controller is no longer receiving power from the outlet or breaker to which it is wired. Voltage tests can be performed on the two inner 24VAC terminals. Confirm that you have 24VAC across these terminals. The controller is receiving AC Power. Why does my controller display show "NO" or "NO AC"?

The NO or NO AC display is a diagnostic message telling you that the controller has stopped receiving AC power. The controller is running on the power supplied by the backup battery. Check the power source by plugging a lamp or radio into the wall outlet to verify there is power at the outlet. If your controller is not plugged into a wall outlet, the power source is hardwired. Controllers that are hardwired to the power source will need to be tested by a qualified electrician. If you do not have power to the outlet, check all wall switches, timers, or power strips that may be connected to the outlet. Have an electrician check your GFI, circuit breaker, and electrical outlet if you do not have power to the outlet. If you can verify that you have power to the outlet, disconnect the backup battery from the controller. If the display goes blank after removing the battery, the transformer could be damaged and may need to be replaced. A transformer can be tested with a voltmeter.

Normal voltage output is 24-26 Volts AC. What is seasonal adjustment and how do I set it? Seasonal Adjust is used to make global run time changes without re-programming the entire controller. This feature is perfect for making small changes that are necessary as the weather changes. For instance, during hotter times of the year, the landscape may require a bit more water. Seasonal adjust can be increased so that the stations will run longer than programmed time. Conversely, as fall approaches, the seasonal adjust can be reduced to allow for short watering durations. Over the life span of an SRC controller, surges and electrical strikes can wear on the internal components of the SRC's circuit boards. Under the Water Days or Days to Water dial position on your controller you have three options. You can have the program run on specific days, an odd/even schedule, or an interval schedule. To move out of the Interval mode and back into one of your other two options simply continue pressing the right or left arrows. Eventually you should see either a drop of water above the individual days or a drop with a circle around it and a line through it. Now you are in Day of the Week mode and the days of activation will need to be chosen. The arrow button will move your blinking selection icon from day to day, the plus will activate a day, the minus button will deactivate a day. What is the little sprinkler icon that flashes on my display? The sprinkler icon flashes when the controller is outputting power to the station terminal or terminals activating a station. If the icon is blinking with an umbrella on the display, as in the SVC, the rain sensor's circuit has been broken and is not allowing for watering even though scheduled watering should be occurring.
