NON SLIP STEP SAFETY STRIP WITH YELLOW STRIPE BOAT CARAVAN CAMPER DECK RAMPKeep it Cool: Top 3 RV Air ConditionersPosted by Guaranty RV on August 2, 2014 Nothing says road trip like the summer season: campsites are bustling, the kids are out of school and the weather is beautiful. But when our weather becomes a little bit too beautiful (rather, way too hot) a motorized class A will quickly feel cramped and uncomfortable. That’s when you know it’s time to look into some RV air conditioners. As an RV owner, you probably know that most newer recreational vehicles come with heating and cooling units already installed. But if you find a great RV that has all the other features you’re looking for, don’t immediately pass it up if it lacks an air conditioner. Purchasing an A/C unit is easy to do if you know what you’re looking for. Most RV air conditioners are roof-mounted, and they typically come as either non-ducted or ducted units. Non-ducted air conditioners are installed through a hole in the roof of your RV, many of which already have vents in place from the manufacturer.
These types of RV air conditioners often have vents that you can open or close to change the airflow throughout your vehicle. Ducted units, like non-ducted A/Cs, are installed on the roof as well. They are bolted to the roof of your vehicle, but they don’t usually have a control unit on the ceiling inside. This means that you’ll have more headroom inside your RV, and you can install several units if you have a larger vehicle or plan to travel in particularly hot weather.best ac package unit Two brands of RV air conditioners stand out above the rest, which is why we carry them here at Guaranty. no hot air from car acAtwood and Gree are known for producing air conditioners that are whisper quiet and easy on the gas tank. best central ac unitHere are a few of their highest quality products:

Another brand known for its high quality parts, Gree manufacturers a variety of products so you’re sure to find what you’re looking for in a cooling unit. Their roof-mounted air conditioners are powerful, and will cool your vehicle efficiently. Again, if it’s time to replace your RV’s air conditioner, don’t be discouraged! There are plenty of options out there, and two of your best bets are Atwood and Gree. Don’t let the hot weather affect your road trips this summer—there are easier ways to cool down than jumping in a lake at every stop! You can visit the area knowing that the professional technicians at Lacey’s RV will be available when your thinga-majig breaks, or the whatcha-ma- The technicians at Lacey’s RV have many years’ experience with every component on your RV, including the electrical, plumbing, and LP gas systems, water heaters, air conditioners, furnaces, refrigerators, toilets and waste water systems, and Minor repairs can usually be taken care of the same day you call, but there are some times—during our peak season—when we’ll have to schedule your repair for the next day.Symptom – Burner lights off, but goes out quickly.– This symptom is often caused by a dirty flame sensor that can be easily cleaned.  Not all furnaces have a flame sensor, but if your furnace has one, it will be mounted close to the burner with the metal rod positioned in the flame.
Flame sensors vary in size (2 to 4 inches) and shape (see examples below).  They are powered by a single wire carrying a small amount of electricity (less than 10 DC microamps).– Over time, a coating can form on the metal rod of the flame sensor that is difficult to see. Because of this coating, electricity flow is restricted and the furnace control system “thinks” the burner has failed to light and shuts off the gas as a safety measure even though everything has worked as designed. Flame sensors rarely fail. Broken or cracked ceramic are signs that the flame sensor is defective. The repairAs always, turn off all electrical power to the furnace while you are performing this repair.  Remove the flame sensor.Steel wool or a fine sand paper can be used to “polish” (clean) the sensor rod and remove the coating. After cleaning is complete, replace the flame sensor.Turn the power back on and check the furnace for proper operation.Note – If this repair does not restore normal operation call for free diagnosis assistance or bring the flame sensor in to the U-FIX-IT Appliance Parts store for free testing and inspection.
