LG is an international company with factories worldwide and parts for the air conditioners can be shipped from any of those factories and then the unit be assembled in another country, typically Canada, Mexico or the US for units sold in the US. Where the unit is assembled is what will be stamped on the unit as 'Country of Manufacture' so depending on the distributor there is no way to know which unit was made where without looking at the label on the unit...^IFV

Does the unit have a thermostat on it in the heat mode? We appreciate your interest in this air conditioner/heater unit. According to the descriptions on page 16 of the owner’s manual, it appears that the heater does not operate with the thermostat. The COOL mode runs to reach the desired temperature. It uses the thermostat to make such a determination. The HEAT mode states that the heater runs and heats the room. No thermostat is involved in this. what gas &can it be recharedThe proper coolant gas for this unit is posted on the MODEL/SERIAL number label. The unit is not designed with a recharge port, as it is a sealed system. If the device is not cooling properly, then it will likely require service. Surge protector on cord keeps tripping?
