The warranty service of Aire-Flo is very poor. They put me on hold for an hour without anyone that I can talk to. I will never purchase I bought this home when it was 5 years old. After 3 years the A/C would shut off and trip the breaker. Reset and it would shut off again. Talking to a friend of mine, he suggested that there might be a looseSure enough, the connections at the unit were loose, the connections at the breaker box were loose, and the connections at the fuse box were loose. Had a free inspection done and the tech said my capacitor was on its last legs. Wanted $300 for replacement. The unit is a little noisy, as are the rest of the "Lasted 5 years, won't back product" I built a new home and had a local company install a heat pump where the
motor and capacitor failed in 5.5 years. I talked to customer service and they refused to back their product. I told them it was my duty to warn other potential customers about their product. Sucks to be me...Model #2HP13B42P-1A, Topeka, Kansas. This has been the best experience ever. My situation was critical and the worker understood this. They worked effectively to ensure that my unit was installed and was in perfect working condition. I have not had any problems and, best of all, my monthly utility bill is over one hundredThank you for helping me save money every month. I have lived in my new house for 7 years. I have two units for my house. I have had problems with both! Dont buy this airflow garbage units. had 2 companies come on to check them and they both said the compressorReally 7 years old? I replaced and "upgraded" my 25 year old AC unit that never ever broke down, other than the dog biting through a hose and leaking freon.
Four years later and thousands in repair and warranty service charges and it has broken down again. Aire flo has been a Location: Valley View, TX "Terrible product and service" This thing is a waste of money for sure. Within 1 day...not 1 month or 1 year, the compressor went out. We called our home warranty and they didn't cover it because it was brand new and said it was up to the manufacturer to cover it. They refused to replace the unit even though if it already had a bad compressor chances are something else would goWe were put on hold multiple times and had to speak to half aThen they didn't want to release the new part. they are used to lots of complaints because they know there product is bad. Finally, the compressor is fixed and immediately after another freon refill the capacitor goes out. What a hunk of junk!! product and their customer service is terrible and we are reporting themWe could not be more unsatisfied!!!
Do not buy their product or allow your warrant to force you to use their product!! The unit is five years old and has broke down eight times. "2nd Opinions are worth it!!" I have been a technician for over 25yrs and believe that everyone needs to have a 2nd opinion. We provide a free 2nd opinion on all of our majorI have also found that no brand is immune to having repairsloans for ac unit done, whether minor or major. car ac unit not coolingEven in the early years of beinginstall a window ac unitWe have found that the technicians installing the system has something to do with the systems longevity. We use nitrogen to run through the copper lines when welding to displace the oxygen and not create, for simplier terms, soot inside the lines.
metering devices and cappilary tubes. There are alot of ways to prevent issues and to many people take short cuts. Alot of the issues I see people writing about are the company's they are dealing with, not being thorough enough and using a company that would not even post there company name on the outside of ther truck. Just to let everyone know the units that you able to chose from at the start of this review are units they had some problems with. The company has listened to us as contractors and made the units quieter and more dependable. type of manufacturer I like to deal with. Name: Timothy S. Torrence "Central air conditioner unit" AIRE FLO Compressor went out after a little over 1 year, it was under warranty, but I was still charged $684.61 for shipping, labor and freon. wait 6 days with no a/c in Louisiana for the compressor to get here. #31  of 67 brands of central air conditioners Read more about WEATHERKING central air conditioners
This system is junk! We built our house in 2008, and since 2008 we have had to replace breakers and a compressor. We use this unit maybe two times during the year. We live in northern Wisconsin and only need itThe system is loud, extremely noisy with vibration, and does not keep up with the house at all. I have had it checked over, and they tell me it is the correct size for the house. I would never recommend this unit to anybody. Location: Las Vegas, NV The Weatherking (seer 13, 3.5 ton) was installed in April 2009- but only the outdoor condenser unit. It was rather noisy, but seemed to work ok. Three years later in June 2012, the condenser fan burnt out. On really hot summer days, the evaporating coil freezes up, so I must shut down the system for about 45 minutes. because my system is mismatched. The evap coil was made for the old seer 10 unit that the Weatherking replaced. The company that sold me the unit never bothered to tell me (or educate me) about having a fully matched
system, so I can't say it is the fault of weatherking. I have to take blame in letting an unscrupulous hvac company do the work and being completely ignorant to hvac. Location: Casa Grande, AZ My house is 6 years old and of course the compressor in one of two 3 ton units has gone bad. In addition, a value on the system in the attic plugged and burnt the compressor up. I spent the $2000 to have the valve and compressor replaced and now some debris or something in the system is plugging the value and the system stops cooling. if you do not live in Casa Grande az like I do. iho, Weather King is We bought a 3300 square feet, two-story home seven years ago and it had two WeatherKing units. They were far from new and I expected them to need replacement at any time. Seven years later they are still Location: Macomb Twp. Mich. Myself & my wife Rita have a 3.5 a/c unit in are house 2750 sq ft. Weatherking never a problem I would tell anybody yes buy one.
"THE WORST AC UNIT I HAVE SEEN" I had Al's Heating & Air from Tuttle,Ok install this unit in 2008 and they have been out multiple times and checked it because it will not cool my house very well. The Owner keeps telling me that it is because I live in a mobile home. I live in a Solitaire Home and the Coleman they replaced did a great job of cooling my house. When it heats up to about 90 outside the unit will run all day long, if you drop the temp at the thermostat a couple degrees when it is still cool in the morning it takes about an hour to change the temp inside and kick off. been very patient with this contractor and product but now I have been pushed to a breaking point. The contractor wont even return my call so it is time to share my experiance with as many people as possible. not like anything about this product. I would never recomend this product or Al's H&A. "Don't buy one of these." This Weatherking unit came with a new Lennar home.
Chas Roberts hvac company has been out to repair it so many times that I want to scream. If you purchase one of these units you are nuts. "23 years of great service" My hvac contractor recommended a 3 ton Weatherking to replace my very low efficiency 18 year old Bryant as it was a 'universal' fit back in 1989. In all these years, the only problem was it twice needed a charge. And the sheet metal, which I kept waxed, has held up well. thermostat at a constant 75 during the summer (May-August) with the air handler fan always on. Now that I'm replacing the whole system, I can only say this has been one well made unit with an average cost of only $125 per month for a 1800 square feet home. Location: Rochester Hills, MI Just replaced a third compressor only capacitor. Machine has worked very well, except for the capacitors. Like changing brake pads on the car, normal wear and tear.g Our Weatherking 3 ton unit has worked in terms of giving us our
comfortable 72 degrees -- but it has required a charge of refrigerant every year for 5 years straight which cost us about $250 per visit here in New York. Now last week the compressor went. Under warranty (barely) but now need to pay another $250 for the refrigerant after compressor is swapped out. So $7k for system, and another $1,250 for refrigerant over 5 years. When it works, it's great but other than changing filters and washing outside coils, not much more a homeowner can do on his/herI will likely never install central a/c again (in next homes). Wall/window units are cheaper to buy, install and use. (I know some of you don't agree with this but I have had window/wall units for 20 years and more in many cases without a single issue). For a few hundred bucks you throw it out and buy a new one more efficient and quieter than theIf it was the install, how come everyone on this forum hatesDid we all use the same contractor? I don't think so.
