Installation and Performance The Gallery Smart AC can be installed in double hung windows with openings of up to 14 inches high and 23 to 36-inches wide. Its white metal cabinet (with front panel) measures 13.5 by 19.7 by 16 inches (HWD) and weighs 53 pounds. The AC comes with mounting hardware that includes wood screws, sash clamps, and a top rail, as well as expandable left and right louver panels, weather stripping, foam insulation panels, and sash insulation foam.

Once you join, you have to fill out the registration form and create a name for the AC to complete the process.

The Gallery Smart AC isn't exactly whisper quiet, but it's not overly loud either. Sure, you'll hear its fan spinning when it's on, but it's significantly quieter than the new 5000 BTU Daewoo air conditioner installed in my son's bedroom. When set to Cool with the fan speed set to High, it cooled my 360 square foot bedroom down from 80 degrees to 70 degrees in about 25 minutes on a 93-degree summer day. The schedule feature works well, turning the AC on and off using my preferred settings like clockwork, and the timer feature also worked as it should in my testing period. That said, every so often the app would lose contact with the AC and I'd receive an error message stating that my request was taking longer than expected. This was followed by another message that the app was experiencing communication issues. Each time I was able to reconnect by closing the app and restarting it but it happened often enough to be an annoyance.
