Just bought one of these jokers and it seems to be running fine but I can see some Styrofoam in the machine itself through where the cold air is being generated, is that suppose to be there? If not how do I remove it?Styrofoam insulation is designed to be in and around this location, to reduce cabinet vibration noise. If the unit is operating properly, then this filler should be left as it is. It is spitting water all over room but nothing is in the drain hose. What could that be? The longer the machine runs, the less moisture will be in the air in the room. As you have to put the vent through the window, plug it in & sit back and relax. It has a powerful flow of air.

Within 10 minutes the room was cooled down & I love it. If you lose power, of course, just remember you have to leave your machine off until after 3-5 minutes after the electric comes back on.. You have to reset & test (green light comes back on), then you can resume as to turning back on your machine. Whatever you have set it will return to the setting you turned it off on. Their support consultant called me promptly the next morning at 7:45 AM. Unfortunately during the troubleshooting, it seemed that the unit was working just fine. My Problem: As soon as inside temps reach around 85F, the compressor would kick in for a few seconds and then quit. I have another AC in my RV that is working fine and I have the temp set at 85F when I'm out. Thank God it's going. This LG unit quits working when it's more than 85F. It regularly trips my 15Amp trip switches - 2 to 5 times a day. Even when the temps aren't that high. Isn't the idea of an AC to keep the temps down in stead of letting it warm up so much that it quits working because of the heat? In order for me to have this unit work until about 12PM is to start lowering the temps during the evening to the low 70's so it could have a running start in the morning up until about noon when it reaches mid 100's.

By that time I'm freezing in the midle of summer in AZ. By Around 12PM is when the circuit breakers quit and the unit dies. When I reset the breakers, after about 15 minutes, all I get is the fan turning on and the Compressor kicking in for a few seconds - mostly less than 60 seconds at a time. Until sundown when it starts getting cooler again. Who needs an Airconditioner when it's cool but not when it's hot? Q Purchased this unit to beat the high temps this summer and it has kept the sleeping area cool and nice . Works well and adjusts to your needs as the temps goes down. Usually pre-cool the room and then leave the fan on to keep the sleeping temp just right. Can be a bit noisy but the comfort out weights the air volume. I would recommend this unit to anyone. I can't believe it, somebody got paid to make a product like that !!! It doesn't cool an small room, I thought ,maybe I got a broken one, so I returned it to Walmart. Then I went to Home Depot to try to buy a window unit instead.
